Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of coaching and psychological training as contemporary tools for activating personality motivational resources under conditions of social instability, uncertainty, and ongoing societal transformations. The relevance of the study is determined by the growing need to identify effective psychological technologies capable of maintaining an individual’s internal activity, facilitating adaptation to change, enhancing psychological resilience, and ensuring readiness for personal and professional development in the face of modern social challenges.

The article analyzes contemporary scientific approaches to understanding personality motivational resources and establishes that they constitute a complex integrated psychological construct encompassing intrinsic motivation, psychological capital, resilience, and a system of personal values, goals, and meanings

It is substantiated that motivational resources serve as the foundation for an individual’s activity, self-regulation, ability to overcome difficulties, adaptation to change, and achievement of desired goals.

The essence of the coaching approach is revealed, and its potential for developing intrinsic motivation, goal setting, self-efficacy, responsibility, and psychological resilience is identified. It is established that coaching promotes awareness of personal values, needs, and resources, facilitates the development of a proactive personal position, and activates an individual’s internal potential. The study also examines the specific features of psychological training as a group-based form of psychological intervention and identifies its key motivational mechanisms, including feedback, behavioral modeling, group support, and reflection. The role of training technologies in fostering self-confidence, readiness for change, self-efficacy, and an active life position is substantiated.

The findings demonstrate that coaching and psychological training pursue a common objective but achieve it through different mechanisms of psychological influence. The expediency of their integrated application in psychological support practice is substantiated. Practical recommendations are proposed regarding the use of coaching and training technologies for activating personality motivational resources in educational, counseling, and professional psychological practice.
