The article studies the influence of personality psychotype on the choice of communicative techniques in the process of conflict de-escalation. The relevance of the topic is due to the increase in the number of interpersonal conflicts in various social contexts and the need to increase the effectiveness of their constructive resolution by taking into account the deep intrapersonal determinants of behavior. The introductory part substantiates the feasibility of using a psychodynamic approach as a methodological basis for interpreting the communicative behavior of subjects of conflict interaction, in particular through the analysis of characterological structures, leading affects and defense mechanisms. The purpose of the study is to identify the patterns of influence of psychodynamically determined psychotypes on the specificity of the choice and effectiveness of communicative techniques for conflict de-escalation. The methodological basis is the provisions of the psychodynamic theory of personality of N. McWilliams, as well as modern approaches to social psychology in the analysis of conflict interaction. The study used theoretical analysis and systematization of scientific sources, psychodiagnostic examination (clinical-psychological interview, observation, and elements of projective techniques).
The results of the study showed that the psychotypological characteristics described within the framework of the concept of N. McWilliams (in particular, narcissistic, obsessive-compulsive, borderline and neurotic types of personality organization) determine the specificity of the perception of a conflict situation, the dominance of certain defense mechanisms and, accordingly, the effectiveness of various communicative techniques. It was established that a differentiated approach to the choice of communicative strategies significantly increases the effectiveness of conflict de-escalation.
The conclusions substantiate that the integration of a psychodynamic approach into the practice of communicative interaction contributes to increasing the effectiveness of conflict prevention and resolution.
