Abstract

The article provides a theoretical substantiation of psychodiagnostic criteria for the formation of therapeutic groups within the system of psychological rehabilitation of individuals with traumatic experience. The relevance of the study is determined by the increasing number of individuals exposed to traumatic events as a result of the ongoing war in Ukraine, which necessitates the implementation of structured and evidence-based approaches to psychological care.

Contemporary approaches to the psychotherapy of post-traumatic conditions are analyzed, with particular emphasis on group-based interventions as a means of restoring emotional regulation, interpersonal trust, and social support. The study highlights the role of psychodiagnostics as a basis for clinical decision-making and client allocation to appropriate therapeutic formats. Key psychodiagnostic domains include the severity of post-traumatic symptoms, dissociative manifestations, emotional stability, comorbid mental conditions, and social resources.

Special attention is paid to the differentiation of post-traumatic responses (acute stress reaction, PTSD, and complex PTSD) and their implications for treatment planning. Criteria for psychological readiness to participate in therapeutic groups are defined, including affect regulation capacity, dual awareness, absence of self-destructive behavior, motivational readiness, and interpersonal functioning.

The paper proposes principles for composing therapeutic groups and presents an algorithm for their formation, including stages from initial screening to ongoing monitoring. It is demonstrated that integrating psychodiagnostic assessment with clinical analysis enhances the effectiveness and safety of group psychotherapeutic interventions in psychological rehabilitation.
