THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL PRINCIPLES OF RESEARCHING PERSONALITY STRESS RESISTANCE IN DOMESTIC PSYCHOLOGICAL SCIENCE

Abstract

Based on the results of the stress psychodiagnostic study, three levels of methodological analysis were identified – systemic, integrative, special, and procedural – as well as a comprehensive approach to stress psychodiagnostics using direct and indirect indicators.

Psychodiagnostics of stress resistance was carried out using a set of direct indicators, including methods specifically aimed at measuring the level of stress resistance of the respondents, such as: the Stress Resistance Self-Assessment Test; Comprehensive Assessment of Stress Manifestations; and Coping with Stress. Using indirect indicators, manifestations of stress resistance were studied in the motivational, personal, emotional-volitional, communicative, and socio-professional domains.

The study of stress resistance manifestations in the motivational, personal, and socio-professional domains was conducted using a set of methods for examining indirect indicators of respondents’ stress resistance, including: the FPI (Freiburg Personality Inventory); Emotional-Volitional Self-Regulation; Communicative and Organizational Abilities of Personality; Motives of Entrepreneurial Activity; and Professional Hardiness of Personality.

The work was carried out in three stages. At the first stage, theoretical aspects of diagnosing personality stress resistance in contemporary psychological literature were examined.

At the second stage, the characteristics of the professional activity conditions of sales managers were studied and empirical research was conducted. The third stage was aimed at generalization and preparation of the scientific report.

The prospects for further research include conducting an empirical study to determine the specific manifestations of respondents’ stress resistance under conditions of prolonged martial law and developing practical recommendations for the psychological support of sales managers.
