Abstract

The article reveals the essence of the innovative potential of teachers. The necessity of development of innovative potential of teachers on whom efficiency of introduction of innovations in educational activity depends is investigated. It is determined that innovative potential is an integral characteristic of a teacher's personality, which is manifested in the ability to generate new ideas or improve existing ones using creative opportunities, resulting in effective pedagogical activities using innovative teaching methods and technologies. Emphasis is placed on the creative potential of the individual and emphasizes the importance of creating the necessary conditions for its development.

The essence of critical thinking, which is manifested in the ability to analyze, produce and organize, compare, evaluate various phenomena and facts, which is extremely important in professional. The concept of innovative learning is considered as a process that provides emotional inclusion and promotes the formation of a lasting interest that motivates the individual to self-education.

The results of an empirical study of innovative potential of teachers of educational institutions questionnaire "Research of innovative potential of teachers", the results of which determine the high, medium and low level of innovative potential. According to the results of the study, it is determined that the vast majority of teachers have an average level of innovation potential in professional activities. We see the prospect of further research in the development and implementation of technologies for the development of innovative potential of teachers.
