The article is devoted to the theoretical substantiation and empirical study of depressive states of young people and neuropsychic stress as one of the main factors of their experience. Based on the analysis of empirical indicators, the integral results of the phenomenon of stress of young people are presented, taking into account the symptoms of a depressive state:
The experience of depressive states inherent in the sample was determined: at pronounced and excessive levels, less in mild and moderate manifestations of symptoms. The fifth part of the sample is characterized by the absence of symptoms, which indicates a tendency of stress resistance and resilience. At the same time, the symptoms of the somatic nature are moderately pronounced and characteristic. Symptoms of a cognitive-affective nature are manifested in a mild form.
The sample is characterized by a tendency to experience the level of stress, which threatens the well-being and functioning of the individual. Among the most common characteristics of experiencing a stressful state: experiencing emotional, intellectual symptoms, while less pronounced are physiological signs of a stressful state of young people.
A positive correlation was confirmed between the indicators of nervous and psychic tension, the general level of stress and indicators of depression, an average effect was determined between the level of nervous and psychic tension and the level of depression, and between other indicators – the high level. An increase in the level of neuroticism affects the potential development of depressive symptoms, in turn predicting an increase in the stress state in young people. An integrated approach is important in working with clients who have high indicators of nervous tension and depression.
