The article presents a comprehensive study of the effectiveness of socio-psychological training in forming professional orientations among students. The main emphasis of the study is on how such trainings contribute to improving students' understanding of their own interests, abilities, values, and professional prospects. The study offers various methods, including self-knowledge, development of soft skills, role-playing games, and modeling career situations.
A specific example of the «Professional Compass» training has been offered. It was conducted over three days and included the stages of self-knowledge, ability assessment, and strategic career planning. Key research findings include that socio-psychological training helps students not only decide on a career choice, but also develop important career skills such as communication, teamwork, self-regulation and critical thinking. They also contribute to increasing self-awareness, understanding the labor market and strengthening the network of professional contacts.
The strategic SWOT method has been described, which allows students to look at their career choice considering external factors that affect the labor market. This helps young people to be more flexible and adaptive to change. The need for professional guidance, adaptation to the individual needs of participants and post-training support to ensure a long-term effect is outlined.
It has been substantiated that socio-psychological trainings have significant potential for improving professional orientation, which is confirmed by both theoretical developments and practical results indicating positive changes in students' professional self-identification. This makes them an important tool in the higher education system for preparing young people for a successful career.
