Abstract

The article presents the results of a study that emphasizes the importance of the family as a key factor in the social and psychological adaptation of severely wounded combatants. The study confirms that emotional, practical and social support from family significantly reduces the level of stress, anxiety and depression in the rehabilitation process. The study involved 45 people, including 6 women and 39 men. The high percentage of respondents emphasizes the importance of family support in the recovery and adaptation of combatants after their injuries. In addition, the paper discusses the importance of sensitive communication with severely injured combatants and their families, emphasizing the need to avoid phrases that may cause offense or increase emotional stress.

The paper conducted an anonymous study that examined the role of the family in the social and psychological adaptation of severely wounded combatants. The results of the study confirm that the family is a critical resource that provides combatants with emotional, practical, and social support during their recovery from trauma.

Special attention is paid to the language aspects of communication with severely wounded combatants and their families. Often, insensitive or incorrect phrases can cause additional harm. It is important to understand that adaptation to new living conditions after injury is a long and complex process that requires a sensitive approach to communication, tolerance, support and training. Families with the necessary knowledge and resources can make this process much easier for their loved ones, which in turn accelerates the recovery and social integration of severely wounded combatants.

It is noted that the family is not only a source of emotional support, but also a necessary partner in the rehabilitation of severely wounded combatants, capable of changing the trajectory of their recovery for the better, provided that the right knowledge and resources are provided in a timely manner for effective support.
