The article examines the psychological aspects and preconditions for the development of psychological resilience among psychology students within the context of higher education institutions.
The essence of the concepts "resilience," "psychological resilience," and "resiliency" is explained. The authors of the article consider different interpretations of psychological resilience in humanistic psychology, social psychology, etc.
In the article, the authors argue that the concept of ‘resilience’, which characterises a person's ability to overcome difficulties, function effectively while maintaining internal harmony. Resilience is a continuous active process aimed at developing new resources for the recovery and adaptation of the individual.
The authors emphasize the critical role of psychological resilience in shaping the personal and professional competencies of future specialists. The article identifies the features of developing psychological resilience in future psychologists as the ability to withstand stressful situations, find resources for recovery, function effectively, and strengthen self-confidence.
In the article, the authors conclude that the psychological resilience of students, including future psychologists, is stimulated by the information received during the educational process in higher education institutions, so the optimal level of information load is of great importance. The consequence of a large amount of information or its lack can be fatigue, which will weaken the psychological stability of students.
The authors of the article see the prospects for further developments in this direction in the study of the levels of development of cognitive, behavioural and emotional components of psychological stability of psychology students, taking into account the influence of various factors of the educational environment of a higher education institution.
