Abstract

This article addresses the issue of developing responsible family skills among students within the framework of general secondary education institutions, highlighting it as a critical direction of educational work in response to contemporary social challenges. The relevance of the study is emphasized against the backdrop of transformations in the family institution, increasing numbers of incomplete families, deteriorating interpersonal relationships within family environments, and declining prestige of family values among youth. Schools are identified as pivotal socialization agents where young people’s perceptions of family roles, partnership, parenthood, and responsibility are shaped.

The purpose of the article is to substantiate the feasibility of using training programs as an effective means of fostering responsible family skills in adolescents. The study provides a review of psychological and pedagogical approaches to preparing students for family life, drawing upon the works of prominent domestic scholars. The content of training programs is characterized by components that promote emotional maturity, partnership skills, responsible parenthood, stereotype reduction, and the development of life competencies.

Pedagogical conditions for the effective implementation of training programs in secondary schools are outlined, including professional development of specialists, methodological support, administrative backing, integration of family value topics into the educational process, and the creation of a safe learning environment. Prospects for further research involve empirical evaluation of program effectiveness, adaptation to various educational settings, and development of methodological recommendations for practitioners.
